house music, house musics ou house nom féminin (mots anglais, de Warehouse, l'Entrepôt, nom d'un club de Chicago [où est née cette musique]) Courant musical apparu aux États-Unis au début des années 1980, influencé notamment par la culture musicale noire américaine, le disco et le pop, et dont les airs, utilisés pour danser, sont créés à l'aide d'un sampler à partir d'éléments sonores préexistants et de sons et rythmes électroniques.
